Darwin Harbour

Fish the estuaries of Darwin Harbour in a full-days tour, targeting a mixed variety of sport & reef fish (Barramundi, Threadfin Salmon, Golden Snapper etc) spiced up with a catch of fresh succulent mudcrabs.
The fishing areas here are close to the Darwin central and such a trip is ideal for persons wanting to fish close to home, in the sheltered waters of the harbour and its estuaries.
The fishing in this area is generally achievable for most of the year.

Cox Peninsular (1hr boat ride west of Darwin)

A days fishing on the coastline of Cox peninsular offers a wide range of blue water fishing action. This includes spectacular pelagic species such as Spanish Mackerel and Queenfish, and hard fighting reef fish such as big Black Jewfish.
The fishing in this area is generally achievable for most of the year.

Daly River (2.5 hrs by road south west of Darwin).

Widely acclaimed as one of the Northern Territories high profile Barramundi fishing locations. It plays host to the annual “Barra Classic and Barra Nationals” fishing competitions. The river is renowned for its natural beauty, set upon steep banks with overhanging paperbark trees, complemented by an array of wildlife (crocodiles, wetland-bird life, wild pigs etc).
Some of the most exciting barramundi fishing action can be experienced whilst fishing on this scenic river. During a hot-bite large quantities of barramundi can be caught, along with trophy size fish. Hully’s fishing safaris have an intimate knowledge of the Daly River and its post wet season fishing conditions.

The peak fishing occurs during the run-off period (March-April-May). Booking in advance is essential, in order not to miss out on this short window of champagne fishing.

Dundee Beach coastline-Finniss River (2hrs drive south west of Darwin).

This area provides the opportunity to sample a diverse range of fishing. You can target the mighty Barramundi in estuaries close by or along the coastal rocky foreshores. Also troll and cast the shallow reefs for mixed pelagic action, such as acrobatic fighting Queen fish and brawl with thick schools of Tuna or Mackerel.
First class reef fishing is also on tap with classic species such as golden snapper, black jewfish, coral trout and much more available. The ideal fishing period for this location is between May-December.
